The filter catches and traps suspended solids, preventing them from reaching your treatment site. The effluent filter may have an alarm, which warns you that it needs to be cleaned. If no alarm is being used, we can develop a maintenance cycle to keep the filter working properly.

When your septic system utilizes a lift station, one of the most important components is the lift station pump. Lift stations are designed to move wastewater from an area with low elevation to an area with higher elevation. The typical lift station pump will last on average 12-16 year.

The pump is responsible for moving the effluent from the lift station tank to the final treatment area.

Signs that a pump may be failing or completely failed:

• The breaker in the electrical panel may be tripped.
• The warning alarm is sounding.
• The area around the lift station tank is moist or wet.
• There is a back – up happening in the house.

A pump may stop working due to a problem with its power supply, and we usually have the customer verify that the power supply is working correctly.  If the power supply is a problem, we have them use an extension cord as a temporary supply until they can get the electric problem corrected.

We can remove the old pump and connections and haul away for proper disposal. We install a new pump and bring the plumbing connections up to current code requirements.

We are equipped to enter a lift station tank when needed to replace the pump

• Usually due to the pump and connection being un-reachable from the surface.
• To correct an issue with the pump line such as settling or a broken line.
• To remove tree roots that are causing issues with the pump or control switches.
